ONE SPOILED LITTLE PIG
by Pat Hines
Piggy Sue has had a wild hair lately. On Saturday she moved her mattress out into the garage and Sunday she completely unmade her bed. She also pooped and peep all over the garage. I think she has been holding it for a week. She has an electric bed warmer pad and to keep her from destroying it by trying to get under it , I covered it with a "KING SIZE" fleece blanket which is wrapped around her crib mattress. Then she also has a heated dog bed so she sandwiches in between. I haven’t been turning them both on lately because its been warm here. Well apparently she wanted me to know that something was broken because she completely stripped the bed. She had other blankets as well and pushed the whole thing into the middle of the garage. Sooo yesterday, I cleaned the garage.
I swept and hosed out the entire place. I shampooed her carpet, a small strip in front of her bed area, and I washed out all the blankets and the mattress pad from her bed.
Last night I plugged in the dog bed and turned on the mattress pad half way.
Apparently what I did pleased her, because this morning she was all tucked in and happy. I can't imagine trying to keep more than one little Pig happy.
She is however, still "VERY ANNOYED" at my new dog. Mack is huge at 130 lbs, and she has already bitten him so he avoids her. However, since he uses the doggy door which opens into the garage, her territory, they have been crossing paths quite a bit. Mack doesn’t like getting near her so he has solved the problem by "jumping over her" whenever she is in the way or blocking a door. He does that to my old dog as well. Mack can jump about 4 feet from a sitting position and who knows how high from a run. I think she is finally getting used to being jumped over, but it definitely doesn’t make her happy.
